Magnet wire is ideal for any type of tight installations due to its super thin insulation and overall thickness. Excellent for decoder installation work for Z, N and HO scale. Use this wire for installing lights in hard to reach places, and running wires through the narrow splits in a frame. This wire is made of one strand of soft copper with an outside diameter of .006" (0.16 mm). The wire has a very thin (yet still tough) insulated coating. The clear insulation can easily be removed by tinning the wire with a solder ball on a standard soldering iron.
